Terms of Enrolment

ATTENDANCE POLICY

(1st Sept - 31st May inclusive)
All students should note that they are in effect
renting a weekly session
and that it must be paid for whether they attend it or not,
unless they vacate it permanently with a weeks notice
so that it can be given out to another student who is waiting to enrol.
Lessons missed for any reason,
whether with or without advance notice,
will not be replaced with a make-up lesson.
Nor is one students' place transferable with another.
There can be no exception to those rules
as there is usually a long waiting list for places.
As a courtesy to the teacher we ask that the school be notified

before class time if a student is going to be absent or late.

SUMMER ATTENDANCE POLICY
(1st June - 31st August inclusive)
As more sessions are available during the summer period
(i.e. many students are free from school/college during the day)
and since most people take their Annual Holidays at this time,
places will be held for students for three weeks without payment
if they are away between
the 1st June and the 31st of August inclusive.
These lessons can be missed either consecutively

or separately provided at least one weeks notice has been given to the school.
Any other lessons missed will have to be paid
for if the students' place is to be held.

CANCELLATIONS
Lessons cancelled through the fault of the teacher
(i.e. due to gigs etc), will be replaced with either:
1. Another session at a different time
2. A credit for another lesson at the usual time
at the end of the students' set of lessons.

DISCONTINUANCE
The School Of Guitar reserves the right to discontinue
the enrolment of any student who misses two consecutive lessons without notification,

who has a pattern of absences, who is constantly late, or who does not abide by the terms of enrolment.
